Montreal Officially Joins the Michelin Galaxy
On May 15th, 2025, the MICHELIN Guide unveiled its very first selection for Québec, and Montreal can now proudly count itself among the starred cities. Long-awaited, this recognition highlights the meticulous and inspired work of chefs who are deeply rooted in their community.
One MICHELIN Star - "High-Quality Cooking, Worth a Stop"
Three Montreal restaurants have now join the prestigious list of starred establishments. Each one stands out with its own unique personality, whether through refined technique, a strong connection to local ingredients, or a boldly creative vision.
- Europea - Chef Jérôme Ferrer delivers a refined tasting menu featuring Magdalen Islands lobster, Appalachian red deer and delicately perfumed consommés, all served in a sleek, modern dining room with an open view of the kitchen.
- Mastard - In a minimalist space in Rosemont, Simon Mathys crafts a precise and ever-evolving tasting menu that celebrates Quebec's seasonal bounty.
- Sabayon - At the crossroads of pastry and savoury cooking, Patrice Demers offers a delicate and vegetable-forward menu. Grilled mushrooms, maple-laced desserts and a graceful dining experience come together in one of the city's hardest-to-book tables.
